Table with Base “At the Head of the Corner” In the table with base “At the Head of the Corner”, the playful connects with the ancestral. At the base is a rosewood skull: not a sign of an ending, but a sign of foundation. The structure rests on it, just as culture, memory, and the ability to create new forms rest on human experience. The tiled tabletop continues the theme of the “Playing Field”, but here the game moves beyond the surface and descends to the base. The colored balls on the skull are interactive: they can be rearranged, changing the composition and mood of the object. Thus, the table becomes a reflection on the human being as the source of design. A contemporary object, modularity, play, and variability do not appear on their own — they grow out of a complex system of thinking that has been forming for thousands of years. Interaction scenario: look, touch, rearrange, assemble, remember, play.
